Christel and David’s wedding day brought together two beautiful sides of downtown Tampa: the timeless grandeur of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the modern waterfront atmosphere of Tampa Marriott Water Street. From their heartfelt church ceremony to an evening of celebration overlooking the city, their wedding felt classic, romantic, and filled with meaningful moments from beginning to end.
An incredible team of wedding professionals helped bring the day together, beginning with the talented team at Blue Skies Events. We always love working with Blue Skies and seeing the thoughtful details and seamless coordination they bring to a wedding day. Gorgeous florals from Iza’s Flowers added romance throughout the celebration, while Femme Akoi created a beautiful bridal look that felt timeless and photographed effortlessly.
The ceremony took place inside Sacred Heart Catholic Church, one of downtown Tampa’s most striking historic landmarks. The church’s soaring ceilings, intricate architectural details, stained glass, and traditional sanctuary created an incredible setting for Christel and David to exchange their vows. There is something especially beautiful about photographing a ceremony in a space filled with so much history and character, and Sacred Heart provided a backdrop that made every moment feel even more meaningful.
Following the ceremony, the celebration transitioned from historic downtown Tampa to the waterfront at Tampa Marriott Water Street. The change in scenery gave us an entirely different look for portraits, pairing the classic architecture of Sacred Heart with Tampa’s modern skyline, marina, and waterfront views.

As evening arrived, family and friends gathered at Tampa Marriott Water Street to celebrate the newlyweds. A beautiful cake from Sweets Bakehouse added a sweet finishing touch to the reception, while entertainment from Hagz Productions kept the celebration going. Storybook Films joined us in documenting the day, preserving Christel and David’s celebration through film alongside our photography.
