Madelyn & Brady

Saturday, December 5, 2020

2018: Their love story began at her family’s annual front yard YMCA BBQ Fundraiser. At the time, Brady was attending the University of Tampa and interning with her father’s business, and Madelyn was home on spring break from the University of Florida. At some point during all the festivities, Brady and Madelyn’s paths crossed under the beer tent (surprise …surprise) and that’s where it all began.

As the day went on and delicious BBQ from Chef Mike and Chef Moose was served, Brady and Madelyn had no idea there were so many eyes on them as they enjoyed each other’s company making easy conversation. Madelyn’s high school best friends (now her bridesmaids!) came by the BBQ and were all very interested in finding out who this “boy” was, even telling Madelyn’s mom she had to set Madelyn up with him. Moose didn’t miss a beat and quickly commented that he could see a “budding romance”. Mr. Porter (Madelyn’s next door neighbor who calls Madelyn his blonde daughter) even pulled Madelyn aside during the day and told her “I met your future husband”. Can you see a trend? Apparently, there were multiple outside parties that noticed Brady and Madelyn’s instant connection, and they were all so very right.

At the time they met, Brady and Madelyn were both a few months away from college graduation, and Brady had been job hunting and interviewing with companies in the Northeast. Little did they know, Madelyn would be the reason Brady stayed in Tampa.

2020: The proposal took place over Memorial Day weekend at one of their favorite places … Boca Grande, Florida. Not even an early evening rain storm could ruin Brady’s plans to propose at the beach that night. As luck (or fate) would have it, the rain passed and gave way to a beautiful Saturday night sunset. Brady completely surprised Madelyn when he asked her to go for a walk down the beach and within a couple minutes took a knee to ask her to marry him. Of course, she said YES!!! Following the proposal was the perfect celebration with their favorite special occasion wine, Rombauer Chardonnay, and Sister’s pizza (a historic Boca Grande pizza spot). It was truly an unforgettable evening to begin their exciting next chapter!

Madelyn and Brady love spending their free time in the sun and on the water. The Tampa Bay Yacht and Country Club quickly became the perfect place to celebrate their Wedding Day with their friends and family
